This would have to be the number one item to purchase for your baby.
The adds are true, takes weight of your shoulders and hips. My baby is comfortable sitting and convenient not to pull out the pram when we’re just go into a shop or cafe.
Our little girl was even asleep in the car, pulled her out of her seat, she sat down and went straight back to sleep. (Enough said)
Setup is a breeze, a strap around your waist and clicks in snug and secure plus light weight too.
Did I say so completely fantastic.
As a Mum of two boys of 2 years and 6 months, self care is hard to prioritise. I found my back was starting to feel the strain of the constant lifting and carrying of both my 6 month old and 2.5 year old and their clingy ways, but with the Hipsurfer it’s so easy to put myself first for a change and do something to literally support myself.
It’s comfortable for my boys and the storage possibilities are awesome!!! Not to mention my back is feeling so supported!
Thank you Hackerlily!
I have a lot of back issues that have been lifelong and now that I am on my 4th baby, I am finding that the back pain is a lot more constant. Flare ups are a regular thing for me unfortunately and add in a lack of core strength, I am a ticking time bomb for my next flare. My 17 month old LOVES to be held and I spend most of my day carrying her on my hip or in the baby carrier - unfortunately I was starting to notice that I was getting tingling arms when wearing my baby carrier and I think it was due to my daughter’s weight pulling on my shoulders and it was also causing back pain which definitely isn’t ideal. I had been a fan of Hackerlily for a long time but wasn’t sure if it was the right product for me but I thought why not give it a go as it was something that I didn’t need to wear on my shoulders. As soon as I tried the HipSurfer on for the first time, I felt a weight (literally haha) lifted - I was two weeks post a huge flare up of my back and it was the first time in those two weeks that I wasn’t stressing over the pain to hold her, it felt comfortable to hold her and the pain was a distant memory. I was shocked. The HipSurfer helps keep me upright rather than slouching and helps give me the support around my core that I desperately need at the moment. I get pain in my upper thighs just under my hips also but while I am holding my daughter when wearing the HipSurfer, I can’t feel it - the pressure that is taken off my lower back, hips and thighs is actually insane. I ended up with De Quervain’s, after my third daughter, in my left wrist (which is the side I mostly hold my children on) and had noticed it was starting to hurt again recently while carrying my 4th daughter. When she is on the HipSurfer, I can comfortably rest my wrist while still holding her securely. Laura’s design of the HipSurfer is truly game changing and it is an absolutely beautiful product and fantastic quality. The HipSurfer has 100% extended the time I will be able to carry my daughter over the next few years and as my last baby, that’s something I am even more grateful for. If you have been on the fence about getting a HipSurfer, please take this as your sign that it is worth it - the relief I feel when holding my daughter now and not being scared because of the pain, is incredible.
