I've been around the block with various carriers for my baby. It turns out he doesn't like feeling confined in traditional carriers and the Hackerlily HipSurfer was our solution! I had tried a knock-off brand hip seat first and we loved the concept, but it would dig in to my skin and hurt. I finally decided it was time to buy a Hackerlily and it was worth every dollar! So much more comfortable, no digging in, and my baby loves sitting on my hip and seeing the world from my eye level. As someone with a bad back, this hip seat is the solution I need to carry my baby around. I adore the moss green corduroy colour and the whole item just feels sturdy and of great quality. I especially love the toggle to help keep it secure and folded up! Highly recommend!

The HipSurfer Hip Carrier has been an absolute game changer! I have a very active toddler who will not go in a pram - and forget a body carrier- so this has been awesome for days out like at the zoo, when helping pick fruit from the trees in the garden or even just running daily jobs that she insists on me holding her for. I love the pockets for storage, how easy it is to put on and off and how comfy it actually is! And the Blue Jeans colour is really nice too and 'matches everything' if you're that kind of person.

To be able to comfortably cook dinner with my baby on my hip, jump in the car with my wallet & phone already in the pocket to run to do errands & just generally multi task around the house whilst my baby is in one of those sooky or teething moods. It has allowed me freedom again, instead of listening to baby cry or be stuck in a room comforting him, he can be close and comforted by me & I can still complete all my tasks.

I have been through carriers, strollers, trikes and prams... my little one just hates being restrained and is too impatient for any straps or supports! The Hipsurfer has answered my prayers. It's compact so I can leave it in the car, easily pop it on and off and my daughter can be up and down as much as she pleases. It's used almost every day, and is easily interchangeable between caregivers as it's a simple waist belt. Depending on the activity, my daughter can also sit outward facing. It's drastically reduced the pain I was experiencing from lugging her around!
I can fit my keys, phone, pocket wipes, a small container of snacks, hat and best of all - my daughter's water bottle. The attention to detail too... a small ring to attach a carabiner was chef's kiss! I was a little nervous it'd be a bit too clunky considering all the storage, but it isn't in the way at all. It almost feels like I'm just wearing a cute bum-bag when she's not in it! And the purple/teal design is so fun.
I am often one to look for a deal and explored the options of generic carriers from Amazon/Ali Express, etc. which were much cheaper, but I am SO glad I spent the money on this quality, well-thought out product. So very helpful for anyone who has a baby wanting up all the time but doesn't want to be constricted. I love that I can hold my baby facing me or facing out, and that my partner can use it too! He loves it as well. So great that it folds compactly and fits under my pram without taking the whole space. Since wearing it I've seen many other mums eyeing it off when we use it. Also, my small reusable coffee mug (like a Yeti mug) fits in the hidden mesh bottle holder 🤗 just saying
Initially I was going to wait until our daughter was a little older and self-supporting her head before we got a hip surfer, because I (incorrectly) thought that's when we'd start to get the most use. Then the spectacularly 90s purple and teal corduroy version went on sale and I decided to take advantage. I'm so glad we didn't wait and started using it soon as it arrived when she was still only 7 weeks old. It's now our favourite way to feed alfresco. When we're out and about, I don't have to battle with trying to fit her optimal position into whatever (often not feeding friendly) seat is available while she's getting impatient; I still have a hand free for much needed snack/caffeine consumption; and even though I'm standing I'm in a much better position for my back, neck, shoulders, wrists everything! I'm also using it at home- we had friends over for a board game night and I didn't have to leave the table to go sit alone in our usual feeding spot AND I could still roll the dice myself! For everyday impromptu carrying it's so much easier e.g. if I need to go to the bathroom I can just hand her over or put her somewhere safe without having to faff with getting her in/out of a traditional carrier, and if I need to take the surfer off it's the work of a moment. I'm using it more everyday as our daughter grows and I keep learning new uses for it!
I absolutely love and use my HipSurfer every single day with my active toddler. It is so handy for traveling or day to day. It lets me do quick up and down with my active high energy toddler. The leather quality is amazing, so easy to clean, used it everyday for months and it still looks good as new. I previously own a cheap brand, it doesn't clean as well, is bulky and not as supportive. Also love the washable covers that you can get with the Hipsurfer. Hackerlily is worth its value, highly recommend!
Living interstate with no family help or daycare this has been an absolute game changer for me with my very clingy 18 month old! I’ve been using the Hackerlily HipSurfer for about a year now and I can honestly say I’m obsessed with it. I genuinely feel like I couldn’t live without it anymore.
My baby uses it almost every day and it has made my life so much easier. I use it for everything, quick errands, travelling, walks, and even daily school drop-offs and pick-ups with the kids. It’s perfect when you need to carry your baby but still stay mobile and hands-free.

Received my HipSurfer within 3 business days and just had to try it with my 5 month old (he’s almost 8.5kg). Literally obsessed with my hip surfer, I have a few other carriers but they are a hassle to put on and with a growing baby it’s been an effortless carrier and the moment my baby sees me out it on his face lights up as he loves it so much. He is now 10 months old and I wear him comfortably in so many was. He falls asleep against my chest and it has helped free me from back and shoulder pain . The quality is stunning and the pockets are so helpful to store my phone , a nappy and a few essentials. So grateful for my hip surfer !!!!
The Hip Surfer has been used for every school pickup - much quicker than the pram, less strain on me and certainly less hot for bub and myself.
As we were unable to take a pram into a dance performance seating area tonight, the Hip Surfer came to the rescue - making it easy to feed bub, comfy for me for walking in with her and whilst seated - she had the best seat in the house.
Handy storage meant didn't need to bring whole baby bag for the 3 hours, spots for keys and phone safely.
Side note: the Velcro is fast and easy to adjust for sizing and positioning. Generally I'm a size 16-18 and didn't need the extension belt, where my partner (mens 2xl) prefers it.

Of course we also loved the product. My baby doesn't like being constrained in a carrier so she is really comfortable in the hipsurfer. I could do the laundry by myself on the first day using it!
During our emigration with a 10-week-old (18+ hours in transit), Hackerlily became our most-valued item. It’s still delivering now, four months postpartum: by redistributing load, it improves carry mechanics, eases my right “mum thumb” (de Quervain’s), and reduces neck/shoulder tension. The lighter perceived load allows for a neutral posture and better pressure management over long stretches. (Prolapse patients may choose to rather wear it over their hips as opposed to in your waist). Now that my little one is 7 kg, I can still feed while standing without bearing their full weight or contorting into awkward positions. And for what it’s worth, my husband won’t let us leave home without it. Thoughtful, symptom-friendly, and genuinely practical.
You have no idea how much the hipsurfer has helped my back. I can go out to do shopping and just everyday living without stressing as much on how much I need to bring. I am also able to hold my daughter a lot longer and she definitely enjoys being in it, especially her being so curious about the world we love the fact that we can change her position anytime and with no hassle.

Our hip surfer has easily become an essential every day item we use. It’s kept in the car so we never forget it. We use it for day trips to places like the markets or theme park, but also really helpful when we need to quickly run into Coles.
